Jess_profile_feb2025.jpg
Jess Marwood - She/Her
Physiotherapist

Batchelor of Physiotherapy - University of Queensland 2013 Jess decided she wanted to be a physio at 13, for no clear reason: she is definitely not the sportiest (or most co-ordinated) person that exists! She graduated from UQ in 2013, worked in Toowoomba, then fell in love with Tassie on a 2017 holiday, and moved here six months later. Her passion lies in helping people understand their bodies, particularly with persistent pain and chronic health conditions. Jess loves discussing the science of pain while providing hands-on treatment. What truly drives her is helping patients heal both physically and emotionally, building trust in their bodies as they become stronger and more resilient. Proudly neurodivergent herself, Jess practices neuro-affirming, trauma-informed care and believes in a tailored approach for each individual. Outside of work, her hobby is collecting hobbies like rock tumbling, rock collecting, various crafty things including painting, sewing dresses last minute for events, gardening, running, yoga, paddleboarding, crochet, and anything else that sparks her interest! . Jess enjoys spending time with her two dogs, her husband Lachie, and exploring Tassie’s beautiful nature when she can.

Caroline Short
Exercise Physiologist

Bachelor of Exercise Science (Griffith University) Graduate Certificate of Human Nutrition (Deakin) Diploma of Clinical Pilates Caroline says her favourite thing about being an Exercise Physiologist, is being able to empower clients... specifically to empower them to manage their own health independently. Caroline discovered Exercise Physiology through a love of sailing. Her dad is a well known sailor and she developed a love of the sport (she has just come back from the J42 World Championships) and that love lead her search for ways to improve her sailing. She became fascinated with using exercise to correct muscle imbalances and left Hobart, headed for the Gold Coast to study Exercise Science. She then came most of the way home to work for a private practice in Melbourne for four years, before finding her way home to Hobart. “I hear all too often that clients are too unfit, old, injured, time poor, self-conscious (the list goes on) to exercise… and I love showing them how simple it is to dramatically improve their health by going for a walk a few times a week and lifting a few weights”.

Jason Singleton
Personal Trainer

We all know what fitness trainers are like, right? Not this one! Jason isn’t one of those screeching PTs that will get some early gains, but leave you lacking motivation to maintain a program. He’s a dedicated personal trainer with more than a decade working with a range of clients, from those searching for life-enhancing gains, to the most seriously committed athlete… and his focus is to get you where you want to be in a timeframe that makes sense, while equipping you with the tools to maintain gains on your own if that’s where you want to be. No sales pitch to lock you in for a lifetime. Drawing on an extensive experience including advanced qualifications in Kettle Master Training, Strength and Conditioning (Level 2), Olympic Weightlifting, and Rehabilitation Management—he designs programs that help clients move, bend, and thrive. Jason believes that “building and maintaining muscle isn’t merely about aesthetics; it’s crucial for protecting joint health, preserving metabolic function, and enhancing overall vitality”. He’ll help you reduce injury risk, improve posture, and gain the physical confidence needed for everyday tasks and recreational activities. As a semi-professional soccer player suffering multiple injuries, Jason explored the power of rehabilitative exercise igniting a desire to help others live life free from physical limitations. That’s perhaps why he’s a better fit into a clinic like ours than a conventional gym. His calm, patient demeanour empowers individuals to push beyond self-imposed limits, ensuring they feel safe, seen, and motivated every step of the way. As a result, clients leave each session equipped not just with new-found physical capabilities, but also with the confidence to live healthier, happier lives—now and in the future.
